John Latham has a 30+ year career focused on Digital Technologies, Innovation, Knowledge Transfer/Exploitation and supporting SME’s. He is responsible for the overall academic leadership of the operations of Coventry University and its related group of Subsidiaries. He also holds an academic appointment as Extraordinary Professor of Stellenbosch University in the Field of Innovation and Enterprise development. John is a Member of various official committees related to UK Universities and their economic development on Research, Innovation and Growth. Previously John held a number Non-Executive positions in the private sector including a number of university Spin-outs both in the UK and overseas. As Evaluator and Programme Advisor to the European Commission John was directly involved in the formulation and launch of the new Horizon 2020 programme.
