Orkestra Basque Institute of Competitiveness
James Wilson is a Senior Researcher at Orkestra Basque Institute of Competitiveness and faculty at Deusto Business School, where he teaches doctoral, masters, undergraduate and executive courses. His research interests are in policy-relevant analysis of territorial competitiveness and socio-economic development processes, including issues related to governance, policy evaluation and learning, innovation, networks/clusters, and the roles that universities play in society. He has published more than 50 conceptual and applied papers related to these issues in peer-reviewed journals and academic books, and has edited several books and journal special issues. James has been invited as an expert speaker/advisor by the European Commission and Inter-American Development Bank among others. He Chaired the annual global conference of TCI-Network in San Sebastian in 2012, and he regularly speaks at conferences and contributes to debates in the media.
